The Tobago Art Gallery is the brainchild of artist Martin Superville.  The gallery is a work of art by itself.

It is minutes away from the Claude Noel Highway on the beautiful island of Tobago in the Caribbean.  The Gallery sits in a peaceful wooded area at the edge of a large pond.

The Tobago Art Gallery comprises a collection of structures, painted in bold colours to lift the spirit: orange, green and aubergine – with an interesting garden and an elevated deck, The Tea Garden, where visitors can relax and enjoy refreshments and the view of the surrounding area.

The Gallery was built specifically for the promotion and enjoyment of the art of Trinidad and Tobago and is geared to providing a permanent venue for exhibitions by artist Martin Superville, as well as other invited artists and is a meeting place for “kindred spirits”, interested in all aspects of art.

    My school took us one day to several museums and galleries. I was excited to visit this place. Amazing.

    There’s no famous artists but nevertheless the place is interesting. My favorite part of any gallery is the part with antique pottery. Always nice to see some oldies.

    Some breathtaking pieces can be seen here!!! Our guide should have been louder, I didn’t hear all the informations about paintings unfortunately.

    Martin has some great pieces, but some parts of the gallery are boring and the entrance fee could be more affordable. The tea garden is amazing to relax after visit.

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.

The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches,the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.
