In 1975, a major restructuring plan resulted in the formation of a new company – R.I.K. Services Limited – which developed into a major enterprise throughout the country with seven branches. R.I.K. Services Limited is a major supplier of books & stationery to schools throughout the country via the Ministry of Education, as well as attending to the needs of numerous government and private industries.

On entering any store one can find novels, short stories, cookbooks, self help and entertainment material adorning its shelves. It is also home to a wide range of local, Caribbean and international authors. This milieu of rich literature is just what R.I.K. Services Limited provides, along with a whole line of other treats to spark thoughts of our heritage, raise an appreciation for history and improve on our reading skills.

Thousands of local & foreign customers visit the seven branches each year. As a major contributor to the growth of literacy in Trinidad & Tobago, R.I.K. Services Limited is proud to be referred to as “Trinidad Book World” after more than forty years in the industry.

Location

Tunapuna–Piarco is the fifth largest region in Trinidad and Tobago accounting for an area of 527.23 square kilometres (200 sq mi). The region has approximately 30 km (19 miles) of rugged coastline with the Caribbean Sea to the north.

Tunapuna–Piarco is one of the most geographically diverse regions in Trinidad and Tobago. It features the country's two highest mountain peaks, El Cerro del Aripo at 3,084 feet and El Tucuche standing at a soaring 3,070 feet, which both tower the north of the region and the Northern Coast of Trinidad forming the a part of the Northern Range.

The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.

The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches,the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.
