The San Fernando region operates as Trinidad's southern capital and second city, anchoring south Trinidad's economy with comprehensive commercial, administrative, and professional services. The region encompasses the city of San Fernando and surrounding urban communities including Marabella, serving as the south's primary business and retail centre. San Fernando provides diverse dining, premium accommodation, banking, corporate offices, and government services that support the entire southern region. The area benefits from highway infrastructure, port facilities, and connections to industrial zones that drive regional economic activity. Communities throughout the region offer retail shopping, entertainment, healthcare, and educational facilities. San Fernando continues to evolve with commercial investments and infrastructure improvements that strengthen its position as southern Trinidad's economic engine, balancing working city functions with cultural heritage and urban development.
The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. Located just off the north-eastern coast of the South America mainland, the twin island Republic is home to international greats such as Miss Universe 1998, Wendy Fitzwilliam; Cricket Legend, Brian Charles Lara; and Carnival, the Greatest Show on Earth. The larger of the two islands, Trinidad, has a boot-like shape, measures 37 miles (80km) by 50 miles (60 km), and is noted for having an ecological and geographical diversity that is unmatched in the region.
The capital city, Port of Spain, is the business centre of the Caribbean, housing the headquarters for a number of local businesses, a myriad of restaurants and nightlife entertainment like no other. The sister isle of Tobago is a stark contrast to Trinidad. Considerably smaller in size, Tobago is well-known for its coral reefs, pristine blue waters and white sandy beaches, the smaller island is perfect for leisure activities and an immersive experience with nature. An abundance of natural reserves in oil and natural gas has made significant contributions to the strength of the Trinidad & Tobago economy—making it one of the strongest economies in the region.

Went there twice because it was the closest to our apartment, and I can say that I regret not paying more attention to the closer beaches such as this one. I mean, there were too many wonderful places to see, so we sort of neglected the one that was too close. The water is the most beautiful light blue color while the beach is a gathering for lovely people.
Too lovely to be missed. Clean beach and warm water. My family had great mornings here. We regularly came here before lunch. In the afternoon it was a bit crowded.
