St Martin’s Anglican Church at Black Rock holds its harvest thanksgiving in July, in the leeward southwest of Tobago. Harvest combines a thanksgiving service with an open village meal, a homecoming that draws back families and neighbours. The table is laid with Tobago favourites, from crab and dumpling to curried goat and provisions, usually offered without charge. Black Rock is close to the resort belt yet keeps its village traditions, and visitors are welcome to the harvest without invitation.
