Roxborough Methodist Church marks its harvest thanksgiving in late March, one of the windward coast’s village harvests. A harvest pairs a thanksgiving service with an open meal, and the whole community, along with returning family, gathers for the day. Tobago food carries the occasion: crab and dumpling, curried goat, stewed meats, ground provisions and local drinks, usually shared freely. No invitation is needed and visitors are welcome. Roxborough sits on Tobago’s windward coast, an easy landmark on the road between Scarborough and Speyside.
