The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is the southernmost island in the Caribbean archipelago. The Icacos Swamp is a place that you can truly enjoy if you love nature completely. This is not your regular paradise beach, but it’s a place where you can recharge your batteries. I visited it with my yoga group where we had an hour long meditation session. It felt so energizing to sink into all the sounds and scents and enjoy being part of this world of birds, plants and fish. Some flamingos gracefully posed for our cameras. I loved it.
Very special and exotic place. We went here with a tour guide and hiked around until we saw most of it. Some awesome birds inhabit this place and it’s so peaceful.
It’s a huge swamp. Birds fly and eat around it freely not minding the tourists roaming nearby. Our guide was talking about other species like some frogs and snakes, so we didn’t really got to stay for a too long, because nobody wanted to see any of those things. But, it’s an adventurous way to spend your day,
