The standard fuel at virtually all T&T stations. Suitable for most petrol-engine vehicles. Widely available across both Trinidad and Tobago.
Higher-octane fuel for modern high-compression or turbocharged engines. Not all stations carry it, so be sure to check before arriving. Suitable for imported European and Japanese high-end vehicles, such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, etc.
For diesel-engine vehicles including trucks, SUVs, commercial ,vehicles, and buses. Government-subsidised rate and significantly below the world market price.Â
Available at select NP stations. Suitable for older engine types with lower octane requirements. Less common nationally than Super.
Used primarily for domestic cooking and some commercial applications. Available at select NP service stations. Not a vehicle fuel.
Compressed Natural Gas is available at select NP stations under the NGC CNG programme. Economical, lower-emission, domestically sourced. Use the CNG filter above to locate these stations.
If in doubt, check your vehicle owner's manual or the fuel filler cap label. Using the wrong fuel type can damage your engine. TriniGo provides this information as a reference guide only.
Compressed Natural Gas is available at select NP service stations across Trinidad, managed under the NGC CNG programme. As a natural gas-producing nation, T&T has promoted CNG as an economically and environmentally sound alternative to petrol. The PTSC public bus fleet and several government agency fleets operate on CNG. For private vehicle owners, CNG conversion involves installing a dedicated tank and regulator system, typically in the vehicle boot.
