Pan-African Festival TT 2016
Emancipation: Celebrating the Resilience of a People.
It’s a celebration! Twice a year the Queen’s Park Savannah overflows with excitement: Carnival and Emancipation. The Pan-African Festival TT culminates with a myriad of celebratory events at the Lidj Yasu Omowale Emancipation Village and Emancipation Day, August 1st promises to be an exuberating climax to the festivities. We invite EVERYONE to join us in the Emancipation Village and on Emancipation Day. Your attendance reaffirms that Trinidad and Tobago stands against enslavement in all its forms and instead supports freedom and self-determination.
“… By celebrating our resilience, we strengthen it.” Khafra Kambon
