L'anse Fourmi Methodist Church Harvest, Charlotteville, Trinidad and Tobago

L’Anse Fourmi Methodist Church holds its harvest thanksgiving in early June, in the far north of Tobago beyond Charlotteville. The harvest brings a thanksgiving service and an open village meal, a homecoming for a small and close community. Local food is shared in the village tradition, generally free with donations welcome. The journey out along the north coast is spectacular, through forest and along the sea. Visitors are genuinely welcome, and the remoteness only adds to the sense of occasion.
